Do any of you know if there are issues running non-us (english) OS's in
vmware? I hate to ask such as basic question but I've never had the need to
do this until now. Is the 'back end' of these OS's the same - meaning is
the directory structure & everything the same - just a different language
presented to the user?

Others and I never had issues with foreign OS' as guests. DBCS (e.g.,
Chinese), English, French, Spanish, etc.

Add Arabic and Hebrew to the list. These are particularly interesting
because the UI/text goes right to left.

From what I know,

I should think VMWare wouldnt care too much about non-english OSs, it may
cause a bit of trouble with the VM Tools, but the only way to find out is to
try it.

Yep, and very confusing! I hate doing the installation and setup. Heh. I
have to have the English OS up to compare. Sometimes, that doesn't help
so I have to guess.

Same here. No problems with many foreign languages at my workplace in
VMware v4.x. I have not tried v5.0 yet. The only part is trying to
figure out where things are. ;)
