I would like to know if it's possible to do this: I am running w2k guest
on a Linux host on a laptop. I have an internal NIC and a cardbus wirelss
card. I've tried using NAT in the virtual machine so I could use my
wireless card but it's too unreliable for my VPN. I decided to switch to
bridged networking so I was forced to use my internal ethernet. Is there a
way to use my bridged setup, but have everything go in and out the laptop
through my wireless interface? I've googled til my fingers are sore and
I've gotton myself really confused about the whole thing right now. If
anybody has any suggestions, I would appreciate it. Thanks...

I'm not sure I understand why you are "forced" to use bridged with your
wired NIC. It's a simple drop down list in the VMWare network settings
to change the bridged connector from "any available" to either exclude
the wired NIC or force it to the wireless. I too have both, an internal
wired NIC and a internal wireless mini-pci card, in my Dell. I also
have 2 virtual NICs from my VPN client (these are excluded). I don't
have any problems selecting which interface to use.

Everything I have googled lead me to believe that you can't bridge
wireless in Linux. Do I understand correctly that you are bridging
successfully to your wireless card? If so, what do I need to do to make
mine work.
