Vmware Workstation 5.0 Build 13124 XP Home SP2 guest on XP Home SP2 host causes 100% cpu load when guest is idle. VmTools are installed.

I am trying VmWare Workstation and having constant 100% cpu load that
really bothers me as host OS starts responding slowly and fan is
running kicked up and battery life is miserable (it is a notebook).
Is there anything gurus could suggest?
Just for the reference: in the same host installation Suse10 as guest
does not exibit this behaivior, Xandros 3.0 OCE as guest does have the
same problem.

Unfortunately now and then we all seem to see CPU at 100% for no apparent
reason.
VMWare keep saying fixed, fixed, but so far we have continue to experience
the problem.
When I say "we" I mean seeing people posting about the problem. I am as
frustrated as you are.
