Nick,
I'm not able to configure shared disk for SQL Failover cluster using
VMWare 4.5.
I have created three virtual servers. (1 DC, 1st Node, 2nd Node) on
Windows 2000 Advanced Server host. All vertual servers are running
with Windows 2000 Advanced Server as guest OS.
I have created two virtual disks one for quorum and another for data.
When I try to install cluster service on 1st node (node 2 is down at
this stage)
cluster service does not find SCSI disk on shared bus.
I gives following error...
"Cluster Service Setup did not find any disks on the Shared Bus that
meet the criteria for clustering..."
I even tried to use plain virtual disks which I downloaded from
http://www.robbastiaansen.nl/vmware/vmw2kcluster.html , but VMWare
Workstation 4.5 does not recognise them.
Can you give me some tips on configuring shared disk for clustering?
Thanks.
-Suresh
Post by Nick MaxwellI have been able to get win2k as clustering to work on vmware 4.5. Let me
know if you need tips.
Thanks,
