VM tools

Hi

could anyone please tell me if the VM tools for guest OS's (Specifically
W2k/W2k3) are installed through the same MSI for ESX Workstation and GSX
platforms.

also, I looked at the VMWARE.com download site and could not see where the
latest tools could be downloaded. If you can give me a link for this, much
appreciated.

You can investigate this yourself. The tools for guests are in *.iso images,
somewhere in the installation tree. If you install the guests vmware tools, it
only hooks these iso images to the CDRom player. Its the OS that does an autorun
or such and starts in stalling.

Find the iso images for your guets (or any other guest) and hook them to the
CDRom manually. Now peek what's in the iso images.

Between esx and gsx I expect some differences since both provide (slightly)
different virtual hardware.
