Discussion:
VMWare Video Driver Location?
(too old to reply)

I just tried Win2KPro in a current VMWare Player (running under Linux)
... and all I can get is 640x480 video resolution. Research says I
should be able to install the VMWare tools but I can't seem to find
it.

Anyone have any solutions to this issue? Location of the Tools
package, location of a video driver or some other work around?

TIA!

You can get it from VMWare Server, also freeware.

You just need the windows.iso, which I guess you can extract from the
.tgz .

Thank you! That was the perfect solution. Works great now with all
the drivers installed.

The VMWare site still talks about the Tools package but it doesn't
seem to be available alone ... for Player.
